Common mistakes when choosing a coach
- Not checking qualifications. In France, teaching tennis for a fee requires a recognised qualification. Ask which one.
- Not saying what you want. An hour to have fun and an hour to fix your serve are not prepared the same way.
- Choosing a coach who doesn't speak your language. Technical corrections land much better when you really understand each other.
- Waiting until the last day of your stay. If you want to work on something, start early so there's time to come back to it.
How a private lesson works
First session
We talk for a few minutes about your experience and what you want to work on, then I watch you play before correcting anything.
Ongoing sessions
Drills built around your level and, with every correction, a simple explanation. The aim is for you to understand what you're changing.
Logistics
I come to your court at the agreed time, with the balls. Everything is arranged on WhatsApp.
